Dana Podell

Practice live with Dana on Saturday 1/14 & 1/21 at 10am  CT/6pm IST  register now!

Dana was first introduced to yoga as a complement to her dance training in college. Initially, she used yoga to nourish and restore her own body after sustaining many physical injuries. Invigorated by the effects, she completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training and has been teaching all levels of vinyasa, hatha, and restorative yoga since. Hungry to learn more about the physical body, Dana returned to school and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) where she completed additional course work and an intensive clinical internship in the treatment of pelvic health.

Now, Dana regularly integrates yoga with evidence-based practice to create a holistic environment for patients and students to heal physical pain and rebalance strength and flexibility in the body. When she’s not in the clinic or studio, you can find Dana on the beach near her new home in Tel-Aviv, Israel or cooking up yummy vegetarian food. She is really excited to meet all of you and hopes to inspire your own journey to health and wellness.

Dana has dedicated her Yoga for Pelvic Floor and Core series to Women for Women International, a global non-profit organization designed to support and empower women who have survived war, sexual violence, or extreme poverty. Dana is specifically passionate about supporting this organization because as a women’s health care provider she feels that women’s health is often overlooked and undervalued. She believes that supporting this organization is an excellent way to acknowledge and respond to the needs of so many women around the world that might otherwise be forgotten.

If you would like to join Dana in helping empower women who have survived war, sexual violence, or extreme poverty, consider making a donation by clicking here and selecting “Dana Podell- Women for Women International Fundraiser” from the PayPal dropdown menu.

Sarah is a full-time yoga teacher in the Bay Area. She specializes in delivering therapeutic and goal-oriented private and group yoga sessions to busy professionals, people healing from injuries and the yoga-curious. She has been teaching since 2010 and has an extensive background in therapeutics, functional movement and fascial release. Her teaching style is straight forward, light hearted and informative.

When she’s not teaching, you can find her cycling through the hills, drinking coffee and rock climbing with her husband.

Sarah has dedicated her class Yin for Late Winter/Early Spring to the LoveYourBrain Foundation, an amazing organization that improves the quality of life of people affected by traumatic brain injury and raises awareness about the importance of brain health.

Isolation, unemployment, failed relationships, and suicidal ideation are stark realities, compounded by gaps in community-based services and resources. On top of that, TBI is often invisible, leaving people misunderstood and without compassionate care.

If you would like to join Sarah supporting the LoveYourBrain Foundation in helping those with TBI access their resilience, connect with a compassionate community, and reach their full potential, click here and select “Sarah Moody- LoveYourBrain Foundation” here.
